ImpressionIronically, for a whiskey named "Architect," this is easily Penelope’s most boring blueprint. It’s just a flat blue label with white lettering. Apparently, they spent the entire design budget on the staves and had nothing left for the graphic designer.
02 — Nose

First ImpressionVery bright. You are immediately hit with oak, some fruit, and that classic, comforting bourbon sweetness.
DevelopmentTwenty minutes later and it hasn't budged an inch. It knows what it is.

MouthfeelSurprisingly light.
Arrivalthe front door entirely and lands right at the back of the mouth and tongue. It brings toasted bread and—you guessed it—more oak.
Mid-palateHeavy on the wood. Some less-seasoned drinkers might loudly declare this "over-oaked," but for those of us who appreciate chewing on a good two-by-four, it’s great.
BalanceIt promised you a French stave-finished bourbon, and it fiercely delivers exactly that. It's just beating you with a oak log.
